[sdiy] Gluing Broken Keys Back Together?

Here in So. CA at computer or ham radio electronics swap meets there often
is a guy with booth demonstating his various glues. I have had some
plastics just be immune to the various epoxy and super glues (like the
containers themselves I guess..). I suggest if you can just bring the keys
to such a guy at a swap meet and see what works (then let us know).
Some plastics I would think would glue easily (like the keys really) but
don't. One in particular that pisses me off is a wrap around on the base of
the driver seat of my Suburban. Clipped it with my shoe and it broke off.
Can't find a glue that holds it together. Even JB Weld..doesn't. Maybe
Acetone?
