On the Mini
There is a long tail pair (think opamp) to a pot and a cap to ground followed by a buffer (transistor). The inputs to the long tail pair are the keyboard the output from the buffer. So the voltage driven into the cap is proportional to the difference between the input and output. Page 4 from the minimoog schematic found at http://www.hylander.com/moogschematics.html
