Why not just replace the R with a VC-R?  An LM13700 with negative feedback
and resistors as a control current sources should work.  You'd get two VC
glide circuits from a single chip.  You could probably use the built-in
buffers, with proper biasing, or us a TL072 wired as two followers.

That would be cool to control with key velocity.
