If you have been following Elektor on this they haven't yet released  
it as a kit as they often
do. I think they realised it would work out expensively so they have  
asked people to register
an interest on the basis that if enough kits could be sold they could  
bring the kit price down
to make it more affordable. The design is overly complex with a  
complete separate 3-wire
control module to make the system as flexible as possible. You need to  
read the full text to
understand what they are attempting.
