Drat.

Looks like ill have to add a relay then - thank you for clearing it up for me : )

Off topic -

The PID (temperature controller) controlls a solid state relay which then switches a high ampage load (3kw).

I want to add a safty mechanism whereby the DC control line to the solid state relay is disconnected when the pump is switched off.
This is because the 3kw device is a heater, inline - if it goes live without flow arround it the temperature arround the element
will get too high. There's another thermal cut-out set at 100C on the element housing itself, but i consider this as a backup to
the backup, rather than somthing to be relied upon itself.

The reactor lyses the glycerine molecule from tri-glycerides, and methylates the side chains - so converts from try-glycerides (and
methanol) to methyl-esters and glycerol. Why do i want to do this? The viscosity of the methylesters is much lower than that of
the triglycerides, resulting in a preferable spray pattern on my direct injection engines.

(if anyones keen to know more, mail me offlist and ill rant for ages... ; )
