The Moog Prodigy had not only the schematic but complete theory of operation and tune-up procedure.
Guess they figured people are too dumb to bother with that stuff today - risk electrocution and law suits or to sell them separate service manuals.
The schematics that came with my dad's Telefunken 70's stereo is what got me into electronics - that and my his soldering prowess (DIN to RCA)- also remember my Realistic DX-302 communications receiver had one, which I used to change the narrow filter to 12 khz for wide band AM.
I wholeheartedly vote for including schematics with user manuals - think of it as art for the uninitiated.
