I think Jim Williams DOES have an engineering degree- from RMIT.
True, he dropped out from his first attempt at engineering study, which he 
described as
'the worst case of impedance mismatching in educational history' or similar
(remembering this from the book he edited, "Analog Design: Art, Science, and 
Personalities."
