If it was me, I'd consider - reluctantly - 
getting a 16V ac wart AND a separate 9V AC.
Though, 9v AC 2A are pretty rare themselves :(

On the bright side, I'm sure Waldorf would not have 
had a transformer specially made - they will have 
designed around something that was readily available
at the time, probably an early printer or fax machine
or computer of some kind.

If someone can point to a clear pic of the transforner,
someone here might recognise it.
