indeed, i now have nice LA-2A and 1176 clones in t'house.

paradoxically, the LA-2A is easier to build, largely because Drip 
*owns* the design and build process documentation. there are so many 
versions of the 1176 and PCB that distilling accurate information is 
way more difficult than it should be.
