[sdiy] Digital potentiometers?

They are Ok if you don't mind the steps in the output (which might
be a problem when you move the pot live...) and the fact that most
have limited voltage range.

Most are 5V or even 3.3V these days. Try finding one for +/-15V...

Hey all,

I was poking around the Microchip website while I was waiting for MPLAB to download and I stumbled across their digital potentiometers. They sound like a good thing for digitally controlling analog circuits and for patch storage of said analog circuits.

Thoughts? Feelings? Am I saying something that's been beaten to death already?
