[sdiy] Digital potentiometers?

Hey all,

I was poking around the Microchip website while I was waiting for MPLAB to download and I stumbled across their digital potentiometers. They sound like a good thing for digitally controlling analog circuits and for patch storage of said analog circuits.

Thoughts? Feelings? Am I saying something that's been beaten to death already?
