Another concern may be that they can inter-act to form transformers and 
you end up with a different circuit than you anticipated.

While it is not a bad thing to know how it works, the practical usage of 
the knowledge for inductors is low in the audio field, more useful in HF.

Proceed to op-amp filters for your audio-work.
