I love my old JVC SEA-10 stereo graphic EQ. It uses inductors. The only 
active components in the signal path are two transistors.

I have a circa 1967 Ace Tone "Rhythm Ace" FR-1 beat box - it uses 
inductors for the various percussion voices.
