[sdiy] Midi to Gate with Velocity?

Well, midi still sucks. I would suggest gate/aux cv connectors for
each voice, but that's a lot of plugs. the keyboard option might end
up a lot cheaper than that, but the simple midi option would be even
cheaper (digital i/o for gates + s/h'd cv from dac for velo), so maybe
midi doesn't *always* suck bad if you want something on the cheap. You
don't actually need pitch CV, i believe.

Simple fixed freq oscillators (with maybe global octave/finetune
settings) shouldn't be too difficult for you to put together, I'd
think!
