Here is a list of places I hit when I'm looking for something.
http://www.allelectronics.com/
Inventory fairly constant, good shipping rates (usually $7)
http://www.goldmine-elec.com/
Lot of random new stuff, good prices, shipping can be very high.
Monthly sales flyers.
http://www.bgmicro.com/
Lots of old chips/parts. Decent shipping. Watch "last minute" flyers
for new parts.
http://www.mpja.com/
Thick catalog, shipping charges so so. Surplus prices trend high, but
they have some interesting items.
http://www.alltronics.com
It's hard to dig through the website, but I've seen some decently priced stuff.
http://www.sciplus.com
A lot of random stuff, some electronics/motors etc. Even if you don't
ever order, the catalog is hilarious.
http://www.fairradio.com/
Old radio stuff. Some interesting stuff, prices all over the map.
http://www.weirdstuff.com/
Lots of stuff, mainly refurb computer equipment, Good prices but
shipping is expensive (computers being bulky/heavy)
