That would depend on if you had a MIDI board installed and a more recent OS on it... 

Internally it's the processor cards of a Wave 2.3, but it can only be controlled via a PPG PRK keyboard or another Wave.
With a MIDI interface card installed -- and a more recent OS [a la Virtual Music] it responds to Sysex and CCs via MIDI. To make it more like the 'expander module'... but damn, if you don't have one with MIDI to begin with, it's not fun to do from scratch...
