Very interesting. If they only ever built 2 and 2/3rds instruments,  
they must be some of the rarest and most expensive synths out there.  
God knows how much the development of such a project cost.

I'm totally against synths that are really only a controller keyboard  
though. You think you're looking at the synth, and then you find  
there's an 'external processor unit' or 'remote sound engine' or some  
such. E.g. the guts come in another massive box that's attempting to  
drain a nearby substation. Other notables guilty of this include the  
Synclavier and that PPG EVU thing, although it that case you could  
actually use the keyboard without it.
