Hey Teacher I know this one!

If you have a Drill press, cut some wooden OAK dowel rod of the size circle
you wish to emboss onto your metal panel.

Using emory powder or similar abrasive and 3 in 1 oil to lubricate. I have
tried Cleaning powders such as Comet as the Pumice works some what, but
emory powder is better. Grit size is hard to tell as it has been years since
I watched my Dad do this on his Car dash for his Hot Rod.

Put the powder and oil paste on end of dowel rod and use a bit of oil as
needed and press the rod on the panel.

I would suggest a practice piece of metal to get your pressure and rotation
speed where it is optimum.

It takes some practice and try to get OAK rods as pine tends to mush out
quickly.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Terry Shultz
