sometimes called - engine turned -
A round wire brush in a drill press or mill. Hit the surface with the brush
move over do it again. To look good the steps between hits / rows must be
exact and the brush kiss (hit) must be consistent that makes a mill a better
choice.

Quick cosmetic question to the list:
How does one make that circular type pattern on aluminum panels and boxes?
A good example is this pic from 4ms:

Forgive my metal working ignorance (I can drill and solder but never did
any finishing :) )
I have a dremel and some other tools but am not sure what bit (or even
what *kind* of bit to use.
Thanks to this list I now have a nice little drill press too :)
Any suggestions welcomed. If this is not really Synth DIY related please
respond via email.
Thanks!!
