[sdiy] Hardware MIDI sequencer tips

Hi Ian,

I started on a MIDI/CV sequencer a while ago but it's been put on hold.
I think there's a few designs floating around on the internet...

If you can program microcontrollers you have at least 2 options.

1. Build a standard CV sequencer and use a micro with ADC to convert the
CV to midi.
2. Program the micro to output the steps. One output high at a time goes
through a pot to vary the level and the CV's are mixed and then sent to
the ADC for the micro to convert it to midi.
3. Scan the pot values using the micro and do everything inside the
micro. With this method you can also easily scan switches so you can
have step on/off glide per step etc. Also you already have the AD
conversion done when it's time to fire the note on. This is the route I
chose.

Regards,
Stewart.
