[sdiy] Hardware MIDI sequencer tips

Hey all,

So I'm on the waiting list to get one of these happy little boxes: http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=sammichsid

I want to make a controller for it involving a small keyboard and an 8 or 16 step sequencer. Now the MIDI keyboard is no problem, just have to get an Maudio one and use its guts for my nefarious purposes. The sequencer is the problem... how do I interface that with the existing MIDI circuitry?
