There used to be a site that detailed how to replace the EL panel of the
display.  You buy a surplus similar size display and just unsolder both and 
swap.  Don't leave it on for long periods as it dims quickly if you do.

There are some conversion boards from a company I/O Connect I think it was
that might make neat SCSI adapters to other memory types but are too
expensive for me to justify trying...  I think there is some stuff on my
site about SCSI drives and the terminator wiring.
