[sdiy] Andromeda A6 hardware questions: What MCU does it use? Was not: [sdiy] is it feasible to modify synth operating systems?

OK, let's try this again.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me find the answers to some
questions about the Alesis Andomeda A6 hardware:

- what MCUs are there? Has anyone got specific model numbers? I know
there's a Coldfire uC, but I don't know about the exact model number.
Has anyone got specific info? sequencer.de mentions it's some 90MHz
part.

- are there any dev boards with that chip/chips still available?
- Are there any emulators?
- how is the program stored? is this hackable?
- are there any JTAG headers there?
- how does the MCU communicate with the analogue VLSI's?
- are there any possibilities for expandability - unused I/O pins etc?
- are there any other specific things to know about the hardware?

Please put any questions of whether modifying software is generally
feasible or not in a parallel topic, thanks. However if there are any
specific points to be made about the Andromeda hardware, I'm all ears,
thanks.

Cheers
D.
