[sdiy] Andromeda A6 hardware questions

As far as the Siel goes, It might be a good idea to modify something that's
well built to start with. There's not a lot to redesign unless you want to
modify the voice board.
I've considered that... auxilliary LFOs, VCF input, a "real" noise source,
pan the individual voices right and left for PPG-esque stereo... And then
add a few chips and you're on your way to sub oscillators, X-OR ring mod,
and depending on your tastes maybe something a lot more exotic. As long
as you're sketching things out on paper, might as well add a second
ADSR per voice and filter FM.
But in terms of execution, well, the thing's a huge liability already.
And it can already do a pretty good Gary Numan Polymoog sound.
Anyway in your case, as long as you're doing an extensive repair job, might
as well make it more extensive. I recently did the same to a Kurzweil K2VX
that seemed to have gotten the Trent Reznor treatment. It didn't really
need white LEDs or a new display, but why not?
