That's pretty cool!

If you were to use the newer Spartan3A parts in a VQ100 package you can 
eliminate one of the voltage regulators. Downside is that the largest 
part in that package is a 200 so it's a bit smaller than the 500 you can 
get in the 3E family. Still, the 200A size has plenty of resources (more 
mults & brams than the 250E).
