Another interesting candidate for this sort of thing is the LM1036. It is stereo, but not two independent CVs. Can be used for parallel stereo VCAs or pan or crossfade. Has included EQ filters (6db slope). I haven't tried it, but it has been used in a synth context and written up here: http://www.mindspring.com/~clist/resource/circuits/LM1036Mixer.html
