I was just taking Ingo's assessment at face value, and trying to point out
that, VCA for VCA, this chip really isn't that much cheaper than the
alternatives.  However, it is certainly a cheap and convenient alternative
when only one VCA/OTA is required in a given circuit.  The control curve in
the datasheet looks pretty decent...
