Yeah 8-bits. I just mentioned 7 because that's the (old) standard data size 
in the MIDI CC message.  I know 16-bit is a total waste of time, but if I 
can find 10 or 12 for about the same price as 8 then that would be great. 
More than one channel would be nice too.
