Hi,
just a thought. have you checked the power supply voltages in the unit
that the chips work in ? and are there any small differences ?
any change in the amount of ripple between the two units ?
and does the unit that the chips work in have the same top octave
divider circuitry ?
I think you should use a scope to check the voltages going into the
chips from the top divider and check the voltage levels between the two
units.
the unit that the chips work in, are the resistors on the output pins
different in value to the ones on the solina ?
faults like this can drive you round in circles !
( and I don't mean the track by Billy Preston ! )
