Hey, it's an 8085...  I don't remember the details, but the MIDI In 
happens through RST6.5 IIRC.  This would be individually maskable if 
someone suspected that another interrupt could occur, but it would 
likely require quite a bit of bit fiddling with RIM/SIM.  So I guess 
the Poly-800 just uses the global interrupt flag and releases that as 
early as possible...
