I am trying to gather a group of owners who may be interested in
participating in a group purchase of newly manufactured T8 aftertouch
keypads to replace the aging pads in their units.

I have been in touch with Frank Eventoff who originally manufactured
the pads in the 80’s. He is in the same business with his company
Sensitronics and has indicated he would be interested in producing
replacement pads given a sufficient quantity. I am therefore seeking
like-minded individuals who may be willing to participate.

If there is enough interest I'll pursue the project with Frank. I
intend to work with him regarding the manufacturing specifics then
distribute pads to the participants after satisfactory replacements
have been produced.

I am not looking for profit on the venture and really just want some
new pads for my T8. Therefore, initial group members would split
manufacturing costs evenly and pay for shipping to their location. I
will probably have a few extra sets made to sell at an increased cost
to individuals not participating in the original group.

I have yet to discuss pricing with Frank as we first need to determine
the level of interest. I hope we could generate sets somewhere in the
neighborhood of $100 USD per synth, but I just don't know at this
point. I'll get back to those interested with an estimate once I know
the number of participants. At that time we can decide, as a group, if
the cost justifies the benefit of new pads.
