Hi Scott,
I would think the Jameco #616622 might be a little more what you're
looking for. Still a little pricey, but very versatile. Otherwise,
Radio Shack still carries some various types of stripboard. The stuff
they have usually only has three or four pads linked together in each
row, but that's enough for most stuff.
