[sdiy] finding bad caps

Dick Smith K-7214. Was a kit.  Supposedly they don't sell them anymore.
Of all the things I have it does show the most difference... But caps
with bulging tops measured similar esr to newly purchased replacement parts
in some cases.  I would assume such caps were damaged by high voltage
and this damage should be descernable in some other way than just seeing
a bulging top...?

in-circuit, high ESR is the only thing that'll let you figure out if a
cap is bad or good. What meter are you using?
