[sdiy] Minimoog Overload Light Stuck / No Sound

Hello all,

I've finished my minimoog clone, but when I fire it up, all I get is an overload lamp light up, and no sound.  The service manual says "dead fuse F1 or F2 (which I've checked and they're fine)" and "board 3 - power regulator malfunction".

When I have no load on my power supply / regulator, all the voltages are close (the +10 and -10v are spot on... the unregulated are a bit too high -- +25 / -27).  I'm thinking of regulating the unregulated ones using a 7815 / 7915 pair just to see if I can get rid of this problem (then I'd go back and see if I can figure out how to leave them unregulated but get them to +/-15).

Anybody have any other ideas how I can get to the bottom of this stuck overload circuit?  I don't really understand the theory of operation for it, and I suspect it's not just the overload that's a problem (otherwise I'd expect to have some sound -- at least when I use the A440 reference or noise generators, which I have tested independently).

Thanks,

Joe R.
