[sdiy] Cygnus X-1 (was: Synth-DIY UK Meeting)

Hi,

       this is a monophonic hybrid synth Morris (not on any list I know) has built.

It's a work in progress and as far as I remember it comes with two digital OSCs, 
two waveshapers, two analogue OSCs (coupled to the DOs) a standard (IIRC SFV) 
and a switched capacitor filter, three LFOs, two EGs, a simple digital sequencer.

It's all built on veroboard as you can see here:

The digital part is based in DSPics without using the DSP portion of the chip as Morris pointed out.

I played with it a while and although it's not the type of machine I'd look for I liked what I've heard.
It has quite some character and edges and I appreciate a machine which has not all smoothed out.

I did a quick search for the synths name (Cygnus X-1) and Morris etc. to find some more accurate info but with no success so far.
