I think most people might find the original range of 3 octaves less one
semitone to be a bit too short.
The Wasp has DCOs - CMOS high frequency clocks are divided down based on an
octave and chromatic note number from the keyboard circuit.
You could add another octave with an extra stage of division for each osc
quite easily I think.
Glide is generated separately on each master clock, so the two oscillators
glide at slightly different rates.
That and other idisyncracies are why I was asked to just do a straight MIDI
to Wasp-link interface, rather than replacing the DCOs with something more
capable.
The Wasp does have a very distinctive, if limited character. Don't ever
judge it by the internal speaker.
