I saw Colin Fraser and his Cirklon in action last weekend.  Looks a
slick piece of kit.

He was triggering his 808 and 909 clones using the Cirklon but not over
MIDI. He was using the same multiplexed CV system that the original
808/909 sequencers use. Much tighter timing than MIDI will ever be.

Also Paul Maddox's Gorf size 2 Osc plus sub wavetable real VCF monosynth
Zira.

Plus my modified Yamaha CS10 which now has CV in for VCF cut-off,
resonance and VCA. This was all controlled by my ancient Palm Vx running
BeatPad*, my DIY serial to MIDI converter and a Kenton Pro Solo with Aux
out producing volts proportional to velocity for the CV ins.
