I should have mentioned that the MFOS circuit is strictly monophonic.  I
can't comment on polyphonic matrix keyboards.  Building such a thing is way
beyond my modest logic-circuit abilities (and staring at the Oberheim
x-voice poly keyboard circuit has only served to scare me off...).
