This might also be of interest - a while back one of my students, Sid, rigged up a "variable slope" version of it:

Note: there is an R2 given with a suggested range of 4.7K to 20K in the diagram. Sid didn't note in the report what value he used, but when I asked him about it, he said he thinks he used 10K.
