Doepfer reply to my email asking for pot values....

please look at the DIY SYNTH user's manual. Here you find all the
information you ask for (especially to the pages 21-23 for component
values
of attenuators and control voltage sources). The type of potentiometer
(lin
or log) is often a matter of taste (e.g. for FM inputs).

I looked, it says...

Attenuating signals
....A typical value for the potentiometer is 50...100k. Depending upon
the application a linear or logarithmic potentiometer type can be
used...

Generating manual controlled voltages
...A typical value for the potentiometer is 50...100k. Usually a linear
potentiometer is used...


Not exactly definitive!
I know this would be enough for most, but my knowledge is pretty much
limited to following instructions.
Oh well.
