No, you're right. I hadn't spotted it, but the random slopes waveform is constant * time* (e.g. it always takes the same time to get from point A to point B irrespective of where they are) whereas the slew limiter is constant *rate*.

I've sometimes wondered about this, but as other posters have said, the boundlessness of it is a difficulty.
