These are pretty common. It's a "pretty standard" pinout. Once you identify 
ground you can start from that. So for the unit in question I'd guess that 
pin 1 is GND, pin 2 (across from it) is VCC, then pin 3 is next to pin 1 is 
Vcontrast, etc.  The data lines D0-D7 are the last 8 pins (7 - 14).
