The Moog Taurus I presets are another interesting example of this  
type of thing. It uses analog switches to switch in different  
resistor values in various parts of the circuit, and then uses the  
preset buttons to change all the switches in one go. It's a bit mad,  
but it works. At least it's simpler than a CS-80...
