Try local thrift stores, too.
They often have heaps of wall warts, cables, etc... etc... ( and 
somtimes other surprises* :) ) in a bin.
Usually a buck or two ( USD $1 or $2 ) a peice.
I don't think I've ever had buy a new replacement wall wart.

I had cordless drill charger wall wart "melt down" recently, too (due to 
the batteries in the drill shorting internally). There was no fuse of 
any sort in that thing either.

*I did find a perfectly good Boss TU-12H chromatic tuner for $2 in one 
of those thrift store bins.
