I can't really imagine a much simpler circuit than the CGS 60.
On the "to effects" side, it just chops down the voltage of the signal
with a passive voltage-divider by a factor of 20.
On the "to synth" side, it uses a simple, non-inverting op-amp buffer to
boost the weak effects signal 20x.
If your effects won't go back into the synth, you can even leave the
second part out.
But both of these things will need to be done to get the levels matched
bi-directionally. The ratios could be changed, but the circuit would
remain the same. Alternately, if you only want to send to the effects
then a single pot wired as a voltage-divider would allow you to adjust
the "to effects" level.
Why not breadboard this one?
