Indeed, Magnus, as well as in previous threads here on SDIY. (Not 
that everyone should be able to remember every past topic. I'm just 
saying that we've discussed that specific concept at least once.)

As for 3.5mm jacks, my recollection is that Doepfer had once gotten 
some flaky jacks from a supplier, but that is very old news and the 
jacks have been good for some time. I don't know, call me an optimist.
