[sdiy] Quick questions on CGS ASR mod

Hey Team!

I'm in the process of laying out my own version of Ken Stone's Analog Shift
Register, replacing the CD4052s with DG409s, and the individual LF355s with
a single quad LF444 (better input bias current specs, more convenient
layout), and I have a few quick questions:

1. Given that the DG409 handles fully bipolar analog signals, I presume
that I can do away completely with the input and output buffer circuitry
around the TL074 and just hook the CV input and the three outputs directly
to the DG409. This eliminates having to match the 22k resistors and trim
the input. Am I missing something here?

2. Should I use 1k output resistors on the mux outputs?

3. What was the rationale for putting the 330R resistors inside the
feedback loop of the output buffers in the original circuit? Does this have
some advantage over simply using 1k output resistors in the conventional
way?

Any other comments or cautions would be most appreciated!
