it's ok, I wasn't entirely sure when you said "long sample with

FWIW, the PPG was far cleverer than the Monowave, the architecture you
have there is for the Monowave.
The PPG used 4x4 scratchpad Rams (78s189) and performed the addition
for the phase accumulation and wave look up one at a time for each of
the 16 oscillators.
It's very very elegant solution to a problem that would otherwise have
take a lot of PCB space and power.
