In my experience you can build them yourself at a fraction of the cost.
Most places quoted me $8-12/ea for qty 100 8" long 10 pin IDC cables.  They
wanted even more for quick turn.  I purchased a Panavise Panapress with IDC
adapter and cutter: http://cow.org/r/?626d.  Total cost for 100 cables
including the Panapress setup was around $400 and now I have tooling to do
my own whenever I need to.  I took me less than two hours to make 100.
