What I got myself for Christmas is a pair of Behringer Truth B2031A
Reference Studio Monitors.  I got 'em very slightly used at less than half
the list price, and they sound fantastic.  I just got my modular plugged
into them, and my 11-year-old and I spent the last hour broadcasting some
very strange sounds throughout the entire house.  And, I'm happy to report,
I detected virtually no noise, even using the unbalanced inputs, and even
though I've used decoupling caps just a wee bit sparingly in my circuits.

Now I just have to figure out where to put 'em (they're on the biggish side
of huge).
